Our Story

IESO, L.L.C. was formed in 2000, merging the expertise of several EHS experts into a single source. Since its inception, the professionals of IESO, L.L.C. have earned a solid reputation in exceeding customer expectations in both performance and value. Through providing an excellent, value added product for our clients, IESO has grown to a global consulting firm with projects ranging from management of corporate global management systems to compliance/conformance assistance for single site companies. We have clients ranging from global leaders of their industry to single source manufacturing companies. As the name implies, IESO is a world leader in management systems. Our lead auditors in ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 conduct both internal and certification audits.

We have developed and implemented multiple health and safety management systems, in both the OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001 formats, and performed hundreds of health and safety projects ranging from behavioral safety to written program development/implementation/training to complex exposure monitoring. All projects are reviewed and approved by PhD/CIH professionals prior to their release to the client. IESO has assisted organizations in reducing their incident rates to levels far below their industry average utilizing systemic improvement techniques. Our workers compensation management services can assist your organization in the administration of workers compensation and case-by-case review for accurate management of both workers compensation and OSHA classification.

IESO is a leader in the development, implementation and maintenance of environmental management systems. We have developed and assisted in the implementation of hundreds of environmental management systems across the globe. IESO has representatives that are Lead Auditors for ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 9001:2015. IESO has also assisted many of our clients with environmental compliance activities to include auditing and RCRA, DOT, IMDG and IATA training, to all forms of permitting.

Keith’s experience includes over 30 years of Environmental, Health and Safety Management in Federal and State government, consulting, general industry, healthcare and University instruction. He is a Master Level Registered Professional Industrial Hygienist and an ISO 14001 /45001 Auditor and Trainer. Keith received his B.S. in Environmental Health Science from Eastern Kentucky University. Keith is also faculty and a course director for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health and the North Carolina OSHERC.

As a corporate global risk management auditor for BFGoodrich Specialty Chemicals, Keith gained a level of global auditing experience not held by many. Keith formed IESO, L.L.C. in 2000 to assist other companies in their management system and health and safety continual improvement. Since 2000, IESO, L.L.C. has grown to an international firm with a staff of uniquely experienced professionals that have successfully serviced hundreds of clients.

Keith has developed and implemented ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems for clients over the past 21 years in both a private and consultant role. Many of these systems and their unique implementation methodology have been benchmarked for world class. He is also a member of the ISO TC 207 committee assisting in the development and continuing improvement of the ISO 14001 standard. Keith continues to lead IESO, L.L.C. into new areas of expertise and client services.
